Instant Gratification

I made this for Donna as part of her housewarming present:
I recommend making one as it is a quick and fun little project - a little instant gratification never hurt anyone! Tutorial can be found over here at in color order. I followed suit and used vintage sheets, but any combination of fabrics would look sweet, I'm sure of it.

I can't help but buy vintage sheets when I see them which means I have way more than I'll ever need ...and that's an understatement. Are you a vintage sheet stasher? Are you able to come by them easily in your area? Have you seen any creative projects around using vintage sheets?

I LOVE vintage sheets! Always have... but this is the first place (Kokomo, Indiana) where I have EVER had a hard time finding them. I used to buy full sets for $1 at yard sales and the thrift store ALL the time. Here the average price is $2.99 per sheet at the thrift store with a total cost of at least $7 for a set. CRAZY!!! and they are a rarity at yard sales. Yep apparently there are some pretty thrifty folks around here who just WON"T give up their old sheets! :)

(what all do you make with yours? my husband loves sleeping on them and I love a good bag!)

I also love vintage sheets and have been collecting them. I love the wreath. It is so bright and cheerful.

this is so cute...i have seen that tutorial and it looks like so much fun. i don't often find sheets where i live...maybe i am not looking that hard either. i have a stash of them and it seems like with vintage sheets they last forever since they are so huge to begin with.

I have no idea where to find them I suppose - the thrift shops around me don't seem to have any. I pop in every few months, no luck!

I have yet to hang this pretty little wreath, plus the framed button picture you sent - it was such a nice surprise to receive both and I think they were the only housewarming gifts I received. How appropriate for you to warm my craft room with some handmade love. I'm hoping to work this weekend on getting organized up there and write about the new space. It's grand.

Lucky Donna! I love that wreath.

Not much luck finding vintage sheets, but I don't check as often as is likely necessary.
