She didn't think she'd get it finished in time for Christmas, but she pulled through! Since her
first quilt, she's been talking about making a "real" quilt, a bigger quilt. I suggested she get her idea down on paper first and then we'd figure out what she needed. She designed a few
different looks and off we went to get the necessary supplies. (note the scarf - I wish I looked as fashionable while quilting!)
She did a really great job, especially considering the size of the quilt! It is a gift for her 14 year old cousin who ritually cooks us nachos when he visits. I can't wait to see the exchange when she gives it to him on Christmas eve!
Is anyone else out there excited for Christmas to get here? I can barely sleep with the anticipation!

how awesome!
Wow, what a wonderful gift idea for a teenage boy! Trust me, I know as I'm a mom to two teenage boys and a 10 year old boy!! :)
I know what you mean about Christmas! However my anxiety is being caused by the post office! We're still waiting for our presents to arrive (however the post office assured us they should have been here already... ha ha ha, welcome to rural interior alaska...) But I am still so very excited nevertheless!! I've started wrapping the gift cards we alread have. It sure is taking a lot of paper but I love it! (we are putting them one box inside of another inside of another, etc...) Plus the occasional brick or chunk of iron to make it heavy! hee hee!
Merry Christmas!!
What a great quilt!! well done!
I'm getting really excited about Christmas, I love presents, and still run around the tree squealing while trying to find my presents (In Denmark we get our presents in the evening of the 24th. And I simply love looking at the tree with all the lights and decorations, and this year there is a good chance of snow on Christmas eve :-)
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Way, way past cool!
Merry Christmas to all at your home!
Oh wow - best present ever for Dan I think!!
That's a really beautiful present.
Hey....E is talented like her mother (and very funny too, it turns out)!
I am getting very excited to see what people think of their presents...also to have a few glasses of festive cheer and shocking amounts of shortbread.
HoHoHo!
that is halarious...nice job kiddo, I'm proud of you and I don't even know you ;)
Merry Christmas
